HIFLO ER is a very useful chemical formulation and is used in stripping insulating varnishes/enamels on electrical copper wire. Dip the portion of wire from which enamel is to be stripped off in HIFLO ER and leave for a while in the open air. Depending on the temperature of the surroundings, the enamel will automatically get stripped. Higher the environmental temperature lesser the time. In general it may take 1 to 2 minutes to complete stripping. The wire should be wiped off with a dry piece of cloth before the chemical dries up. HIFLO ER is not much effective on chemically resistive coatings, which are done on the wires to be used at the places where coils remain immersed in oil or some liquid.
